Provision for Beloved Pet

In an uncommon move in India, Tata ensured his German Shepherd, Tito, would continue to receive care. He allocated ₹12 lakh for Tito’s upkeep, to be disbursed in quarterly installments of ₹30,000. Tito remains under the care of Rajan Shaw.

Philanthropic Commitments

Aligning with his lifelong dedication to philanthropy, Tata bequeathed his 0.83% stake in Tata Sons to the Ratan Tata Endowment Foundation (RTEF). This foundation, established in 2022, is set to continue his charitable endeavors.

Family and Executors

Tata’s will also included provisions for his family members:

  • Brother, Jimmy Tata, and half-sisters, Shireen and Deanna Jejeebhoy: Named as beneficiaries.

The executors of the will include his two half-sisters, his friend Mehli Mistry, and Tata Trusts’ trustee, Darius Khambata. Each executor is to receive ₹5 lakh for their efforts in administering the will.

Ratan Tata’s will exemplifies his profound respect and care for those who played significant roles in his life, ensuring their well-being and continuing his legacy of generosity.
