Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma has embarked on a rejuvenating vacation to the Maldives with his family ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season. Accompanied by his wife Ritika Sajdeh, daughter Samaira, and son Ahaan, Sharma is taking this time to unwind following India’s recent triumph in the Champions Trophy.

The family is staying at the luxurious Soneva Jani resort, renowned for its overwater and island villas that offer breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean. Each villa boasts a private pool and a retractable roof in the master bedroom, perfect for stargazing. Some villas even feature slides leading directly into the lagoon. The starting price for a villa at Soneva Jani is approximately ₹1.74 lakh per night, with larger villas costing up to ₹18 lakh per night.

Rohit Sharma shared glimpses of his vacation on Instagram, posting a photo with his wife Ritika by the sea and captioning it, “That’s all I need for the next few days.” In another instance, Ritika revealed that Rohit jumped into the water to retrieve her phone after it accidentally fell in, showcasing his quick reflexes both on and off the field.

This break comes at an opportune time for Sharma, allowing him to relax and spend quality moments with his family before leading the Mumbai Indians in the upcoming IPL season.
